Why Las Olas Marina Is a Big Deal for Fort Lauderdale

People often ask why Fort Lauderdale is known as the Yachting Capital of the World.

Las Olas Marina is one of the best examples.

Located just steps from Fort Lauderdale Beach and minutes from Port Everglades, the marina has been completely reimagined into a world-class waterfront destination featuring 88 slips that can accommodate yachts up to 315 feet, making it one of the premier superyacht marinas in South Florida.

But what makes this project special isn’t just the marina.

It’s everything around it.

The redevelopment includes:
* Ocean Prime waterfront restaurant
* A public waterfront promenade
* Boutique retail
* Luxury marina amenities
* Captain and crew facilities
* Rooftop pool and fitness center
* Direct access to Fort Lauderdale Beach
* Walking distance to Las Olas Boulevard
*
To me, this project represents something much bigger than new boat slips.
It’s part of Fort Lauderdale’s transformation into one of the premier luxury waterfront destinations in the world.

And it’s happening alongside some of the city’s biggest developments, including:
* Pier Sixty-Six
* St. Regis Bahia Mar Residences
* The Bahia Mar redevelopment
* The new Las Olas Marina
* Continued investment throughout Fort Lauderdale Beach and Las Olas
*
What I love most is that these projects don’t just benefit yacht owners.
They create better restaurants, more public waterfront access, walkable destinations, new jobs, and amenities that everyone can enjoy.

That’s one of the reasons I believe Fort Lauderdale continues to separate itself from many other waterfront cities.

Whether you’re a boater, a future homeowner, or simply someone who loves the South Florida lifestyle, Las Olas Marina is another example of where the city is headed.

Would you rather own a yacht here... or a condo overlooking the marina?
We would love to be your Fort Lauderdale and South Florida real estate resource of choice.

No! If you want to come in via your boat for dinner, you know, it’s a Fort Lauderdale thing, it’ll cost you a minimum $220 for a 30”-ish center console! Not cool!
