Truly honoured to have been the first artist to take part in the inaugural @salmonriverstudios.on x @akinprojects Residency. 🌾

This reel is a little recap of everything I worked on, but the tl;dw is that I spent the week harvesting local dye plants and slowly transforming them into natural colour - experimenting, observing, and spending hours watching pots simmer.

Honestly, it was the most restorative week of my entire year. The residency is family-friendly, so Conrad came along for the sweetest little workcation: we fished, swam, ate amazing pizza, and explored the beautiful 52 acres that make up Salmon River Studios.

I can’t recommend this experience enough to artists looking for a restorative getaway and the space to reconnect with their practice.

A huge thank you to Gabe, Ashley, and their family for welcoming us so warmly, and, of course, for selecting me as the very first artist in residence. And a massive shoutout to my artist collective, @akin, for organizing the residency and connecting artists with such thoughtful opportunities.
