Oh hi 👋
I have a whole fresh new batch of practices on Gaia I’d love to share with you! Up first a series focused on the core ❤️ I hope these bring you strength and longevity in your practice and in your everyday movements in the real world.

Everyday Yoga: Core
In this 5-part vinyasa series, each class focuses on a different layer of the core, helping you develop strength, stability, coordination, and control from the inside out. Through targeted, functional practices, you'll explore how the core supports balance, twists, inversions, and backbends while improving overall movement efficiency. The result is a stronger, more integrated body that feels supported both on and off the mat.
Balance and Control: Focus on the rectus abdominus and build strength through controlled activation of the front body, emphasizing eccentric control — the ability to resist gravity as you lengthen. This kind of strength is what allows you to move with precision: stepping forward lightly, holding balance without gripping, and transitioning with ease.
Twists and Coordination: Activate the obliques through twisting and cross-body patterns that build integrated strength, rather than isolated effort. By learning to initiate movement from the center, twists become more spacious, controlled, and supportive for the spine.
Deep Stability and Lightness: Awaken the transverse abdomens. This deep support system through breath, isometric holds, and arm balance preparation. Rather than relying on momentum, you’ll learn how to organize your body from the inside out, creating stability and lift through integration.
Strength for Backbends: Engage the often-overlooked back body to create more balanced core engagement. Rather than pushing into flexibility, we build the strength needed to distribute a backbend evenly through the entire spine, reducing compression and increasing support.
Integrated Strength: Collect all layers of the core into one continuous flow. You’ll move through patterns of flexion, rotation, stabilization, and extension, learning how these layers work together to create dynamic and supportive strength.
