Fresh off the boat, this rare Nissan Silvia s15 spec R B package came to us for UK MOT preparation. The main requirement for JDM cars is adding in a rear fog light. To do this and keep it looking factory we fitted a standard fog light stalk to the steering column, this plugs directly into the existing wiring as is intended for the front fog lights, however; being a B package car it doesn’t have front fog lights so we’re able to tie into this feed for the new rear fog circuit.
Luckily the standard dash includes provisions for a rear fog warning light, so we fitted the correct Nissan pin wiring and a standard Nissan relay to an unused relay mount to keep everything as OEM as possible. We finished by changing one reversing light to a red bulb with switchable wiring so it could be reverted if required.
We then gave the car a full inspection before its MOT.
We also swapped the steering wheel back to the original Silvia wheel and serviced the engine with fresh 10w60 Castrol and K&N filter.
Finally we arranged for a new set of advan ad08rs tyres to be fitted once registered, which has now been done and it’s ready to make the most of the summer weather.
