One of my favorite casting stories is in regards to trying to find my Dr. Weimar, played by @geoff.freitag . I traversed German American Clubs and wandered up and down Wilton Drive looking for the perfect Doctor. By mere kismet, I happened to ask someone who pointed me to Marc Martorana who is a staple in the Wilton Manors scene, and he connected me with Geoff. Geoff not only had the look but also the ability to play the spiritually zealous Dr. Weimar. He approached his character discovery with such curiosity and nuance, and it translates beautifully on screen. See the first look: September 18 (link in bio)
