‼️Wightlink-Island Renewables Evening TT Series 2026‼️
Thursday, 20th August - Colemans 10 TT

Over 60 riders took to the start line for the final round of the Series. The finale didn’t disappoint & it was brilliant to see both local and mainland riders setting some impressive times.

Local Junior, Harrison Hendy (Shibden Apex CC) pulled out a 21.51 to take the win on the night, despite being held up by a car on the last lap, a time which also secured a podium in the Overall TT category. Ross Reith (3C Cycle Club) powered home to take 2nd on the night, crossing the line in 22.05. Wightlink CRT rider, Ewan Cook was close behind and finished in 22.08 to take 3rd and the Series Overall TT runner-up title.

Charis Jones (Wightlink CRT) remained unbeaten in the Women’s Road bike category, storming home in 26.14 to take the Overall win with Wight Tri’s Lizzi Elton-Walters taking the Overall title in the TT category.

Kev Chant (Independent) & Devon Badman (NAUT Cycling) who were unable to race in the last round had notched up enough victories to take the Overall TT & Road titles respectively.

Congratulations to all the category Winners who have fought hard all season to get their just rewards. Full results 👇🏻

Huge thanks go out to team and event sponsors @wightlinkferry @wightlinkcommunity, @islandrenewables , @kreative.studios , @adriansbikeshop, @rapanuiclothing & @bioracerspeedwear who donated the prizes and stylish trophies. Also thanks to St John Ambulance for supporting the Series and Island Stoves Dave who supplied pizzas!

Lastly, we just couldn’t do it without our local dream team of volunteers! Special thanks to team Managers Russ Thomson, Julie and Jerry Cooper who work tirelessly, & especially to our regulars Dizz, Hilary, Lesley, Ross, Lynda, Alex, Liam, Mick, Allan, Claire, Patryk, Jason and local photographer Paul who all give up their time 😊

We close the racing season with our Hill Climbs Championship and Grand Draw in aid of Mountbatten Isle of Wight on Sunday, 27th September, see you there!
