In Giving

Our 295th donation of £500 went to a cause suggested by Rebecca Wannell:

Another devastating house fire

Sadly, once again we've sent our pounds to a family who have lost their home and all their belongings in a house fire. A couple and their 3 teenage children (as well as 3 dogs and a cat) have been left with nothing but the clothes they managed to escape in, but thankfully they did all make it out.

Now they are faced with the overwhelming reality of replacing everything - clothing, toiletries, school essentials, and eventually all of the home essentials you don't even think about until you lose it all. They are currently in temporary housing while they wait to sort something more permanent. Family members have set up an online fundraiser to ease the financial pressure on the family while they come to terms with everything they have lost, and start the road to creating a new home.
