Six Blankets. A little ramble on my birthday.

It’s my birthday weekend and there a few things I want to say.

Look nobody said life was going to be easy, but sometimes that is hard to stomach, especially since it seems like we are faced with insurmountable injustices and catastrophes on the daily these days. Either personally or watching it unfold on our phones. The kind of constant reminder that we are fucked collectively is a lot to take, also while trying to make ends meet, support your family and persue things that give you joy. It’s hard to remember that.

We all have things that give us joy. But sometimes we have excuses for why we don’t pursue them. I for one, view music, the creation of music and the community of music to be my biggest source of joy. (and my girlfriend OF COURSE!). But my longest love has always been music.
