“A person’s name is to that person the sweetest and most important sound in any language” -Dale Carnegie

I had to make a video about the power of remembering someone’s “name”. Three stories, first, an amazing book by John Amaechi The Promises of Giants, a friend who hasn’t forgot a name since 2003 (ehem @derekwuregina), and a personal story about how AMAZING the students are at the @uofreginaofficial summer sports camps!! 🙏🙏🙏 All because these students remembered my kids name. That’s it.

I’m BAD at remembering names, but I’m getting better! 😤👊

Literally the first thing I do in the classroom is tell them to correct me if I say their name wrong. Knowing names is so powerful and kids/people notice. 💕

Couldn’t agree with you more!! Remembering someone’s name is THE #1 greatest sense of mattering you can give.
