ASHES TO ASHES

When two cousins mix up their Grandmother’s ashes with the family’s cat, they have 24 hours to sort out who’s who before the whole family says goodbye to the wrong urn.

Ashes to Ashes is a comedy about grief, but it refuses to treat loss with hushed reverence or predictable sentimentality. Instead, it exposes the absurdity, the mess, and the laughter that often sits beneath tragedy. This short film reminds us that even in our darkest moments life will still make us laugh, and that laughter is often the glue that holds families together.
