Back in 2017 I sought out to transition my scenic and stage design work to public exhibition and scale. I was inspired by the idea of using material to transmit electrical energy outside of performance, and during the pandemic used Google #Chrome to teach myself how to make my own silicone molds and resin form studies. I’ve been living with those little pieces of matter since then, and with Chrome’s support I’ve been deep in the webs learning how to fabricate these little forms into full scale copper monuments. #GooglePartner My research process is always macro and then micro, so I have a million tabs open, researching everything from Egyptian coppering techniques to using the sun and saltwater for metal oxidizing process. It’s been one thing to dream it, and one thing to bring it to life. I am so grateful to share these for a weekend u guys can go sit, read, flick up, or just exist amongst on the high-line. I’m a forever southern girl, but spend a lot of time in New York, and in some ways it’s become a new home to me. Crazy for these to live amongst all of you now.

TNHT Staff: @fashionswarrior __________ Neighbors, a dispute over a slice of pizza at a Florida school bus stop ended with a father pulling a gun on two teenagers, and now the sheriff says the dad was legally defending himself! ____________ The confrontation unfolded Friday morning in Indiantown after a 16-year-old reportedly told his father that a 14-year-old student had threatened and struck him on the school bus the previous day because he refused to share his pizza. According to Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek, the father, who works as a security guard, went to the bus stop to speak with the driver when the 14-year-old confronted him. Another 16-year-old, who had been called to the scene, also approached the father. The sheriff said the man repeatedly warned both teens to stay back before pulling out his legally concealed firearm, causing them to retreat. ____________ However, the teenagers, identified as RJ McIntyre and Trevor Ivory, dispute the sheriff’s account. They told WPBF 25 News that they were not attacking the father and were terrified when he pointed the gun at them. McIntyre recalled thinking, “Am I going to make it home? It’s life or death right now. It’s a gun.” Both teens questioned why an adult would display a firearm at a bus stop filled with children. ____________ Following an investigation, Sheriff Budensiek announced that the father would face no criminal charges, determining that his actions were justified under Florida’s Stand Your Ground Law. “While it may not have been how I would have handled it, [he] did not do anything illegal,” the sheriff said. The father also declined to pursue charges against the teenagers and has since removed his son from school to homeschool him.
