‘Lighthouse’ (2026) diverges from the static, untouchable archive by inviting the audience to physically partake in the act of remembering. A narrow entrance forces viewers to brush past a suspended screenprint and a Fresnel lens, historically used in lighthouses to amplify light and guide sailors. This causes a projected image to spin, fragment, or disappear entirely. Visitors are encouraged to swap the hanging prints, granting them agency over what is displayed, yet no control over how the light projects and scatters. As new bodies continue to disrupt the space, individual authority dissolves into a messy collision of human interaction. The work offers a space for people to gather, grieve, and come to terms with the transience of memory.

P.S. I’m trying to get this out of the studio and into a gallery so if anyone knows about a space that might be suitable please let me know 🤞🏻
