‘Lighthouse’ (2026) diverges from the static, untouchable archive by inviting the audience to physically partake in the act of remembering …

A narrow entrance forces viewers to brush past a suspended screenprint and a Fresnel lens, historically used in lighthouses to amplify light and guide sailors. This causes a projected image to spin, fragment, or disappear entirely. Visitors are encouraged to swap the hanging prints, granting them agency over what is displayed, yet no control over how the light projects and scatters.

As new bodies continue to disrupt the space, individual authority dissolves into a messy collision of human interaction.

Ultimately, the work offers a space for people to gather, grieve, and come to terms with the transience of memory. by @pluutopiaa

P.S. I’m trying to get this out of the studio and into a gallery so if anyone knows about a space that might be suitable please let me know 🤞🏻

Copper plate etching on Fabriano Rosaspina
Series of 3, 15x20cm each

To physicalise the breakdown of a friendship, I carved our final text-message exchange into copper and carried it with me for weeks. I allowed daily tasks like grocery shopping and washing to leave tangible scratches on the surface. I struck harsh lines through words that felt too painful to see and re-carved words that replay in my head. Soft-ground fingerprints physicalised a quiet, apologetic understanding. I expected the act of carrying to feel like a heavy burden, but spending time with the copper felt like an act of nurturing. I pressed flowers into the prints in the same way that I would leave flowers on a tombstone. 🥀

I’m planning to leave the copper in acid for a multi-day acid bath so that the words become completely eroded. I’m looking for a tangible release by @pluutopiaa

- copper plate etching (drypoint, hardground, soft ground, aquatint, sugar lift)
- citrus photo transfer
- lino (for fun<3) & screen printing
- natural dyes (bundle dye, resist dye, mordant dye)
- fabric manipulation, embroidery (fishnet stitch & freeform blanket), patchwork
- felting, weaving, string making, crochet

unexpected details ✨
this feels like a celebration of artmaking as a form of communication. autism brain finds it really hard to translate feelings into words sometimes. taking my time and sharing when I’m ready to share by @pluutopiaa
