Every great pumpkin has a story, and this one really is the Great Pumpkin That Could 🎃

Henry spent more than 1,000 hours in the patch this season, battling soil disease and losing his first pumpkin in early August. He gave this one less than a 5% chance of making it to the fair. But he never gave up, and neither did his pumpkin. It weighed in at 1,246 pounds, the second-largest he’s ever grown.

Many of you followed its journey all summer with @henrysweatherchannel Now it has made its way to Bowen’s Wharf, where it’s already making people stop, smile, and feel like kids again.

Whether you’re 9 or 90, October still has a way of bringing back a little childhood magic.
