I have refurbished a drawer. I thought I would share this process with the world, as I am very happy with how it turned out!

So, the drawers were damaged by the flood, hence two of the drawers didn’t work at all. I decided to take them out all together and make one big drawer for the records or books.

I sanded the whole thing, chose colours I liked and the new handles. First, I applied the colours where I wanted them, then I sanded it to get the effect I wanted. When I was happy with the effect, I applied varnish all over to secure the colour.

I got a little bit of help from my father-in-law in fixing the bottom shelf and showing me the ropes on how to fix the handles.

Then I painted the inside and, when it was all dried up, put the books in.

I am not sure if that’s the ‘right way’ to do it to achieve this effect, but it worked for me! #makeityourself #refurbish #reusereducerecycle
