Tempe are you ready for some horn-fueled mayhem?? Jerusafunk (JFUNK) brings you some Sonoran psychedelia colored with virtuosic melodies, pedal-soaked textures, and global ideations.
Driven by clarinet, saxophones, trumpet, guitar, bass, and layered percussion, the Phoenix-based ensemble crafts a sound that is equal parts desert street parade, psychedelic dance party, and funk orkestar. Drawing inspiration from klezmer, samba, cumbia, and free jazz, JFUNK’s high-energy performances invite audiences to move first and ask questions later.
Performing in configurations ranging from six to nine musicians, most often as an eight-piece ensemble, JFUNK has spent more than two decades building a reputation for explosive live shows and genre-defying compositions. The band has shared stages with George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Ozomatli, MarchFourth, and Har Mar Superstar while bringing their unique brand of psychedelic desert funk to festivals, clubs, and dance floors across the Southwest.
