🚨🌕 SAVE THIS — Thursday night into Friday morning could bring one of the MOST incredible sky shows of the year.
A deep partial lunar eclipse will cover about 96% of the Moon, which means the Moon could take on that eerie reddish “Blood Moon” glow for many of us. And as if that wasn’t enough… the Northern Lights may also be visible in parts of the northern U.S. if geomagnetic activity cooperates. 🤯💚
⏰ Lunar Eclipse Timeline
Partial eclipse begins: 10:33 PM EDT / 9:33 PM CDT / 8:33 PM MDT / 7:33 PM PDT
Maximum eclipse: 12:12 AM EDT Friday / 11:12 PM CDT Thursday / 10:12 PM MDT / 9:12 PM PDT
Partial eclipse ends: 1:52 AM EDT / 12:52 AM CDT / 11:52 PM MDT / 10:52 PM PDT
☁️ Cloud cover may make or break the view — and this map shows where viewing conditions look good, fair, or poor around 12 AM Friday morning.
If skies clear where you live, you could have a chance to see a nearly Blood Moon and possibly aurora on the SAME night. That is an absolutely elite skywatching combo.
