A little honestly goes a long way. I’ve never kept what I’ve “ done” as secret and will and have shared with anyone that’s asked openly. I simply wanted to put it out there on @substack what I’ve chosen to do to help me feel good and why. As someone who’s living with 3 chronic illnesses ( PMOS, endometriosis, and HEDS) and had been on a wellness journey for 20+ years this is what’s working for me and why. And no it’s not a “ quick fix” or a “ bandaid” nor is it as simple as “ looking a certain way”. It’s about feeling better. Literally. Better quality of life for me. So here it is please head over and take a quick read.
Ready for date night wearing @phlur Heavy Cream whipped body butter and Eau De Parfum 😍 an elevated ambery gourmand dream! It’s smells sophisticated and so beautiful 🤍 #ad
Mary Jane Oliver, American poet (1935-2019) For Mary Oliver, attention wasn't just a poetic technique. She grew up in a home she later described as deeply dysfunctional, and disclosed as an adult that she had been sexually abused as a child. Writing became the place she went instead, a way to build a world of her own when the one she'd been given wasn't safe. She started at fourteen and never stopped. Oliver kept a lifelong habit of walking alone in the wild, and that walking became her method: not escape from the world, but attention to it. Years later, she who won the Pulitzer Prize in 1984 and the National Book Award in 1992. She taught us that pain doesn't have to become the whole story. It can become the reason you learn to notice things closely enough to survive them. What are your thoughts? 💭 *This content is for educational purposes only.
