For TOMGIRL’s first shoot, my creative direction was about creating a visual introduction to the world I wanted TOMGIRL to represent. I chose a sports-inspired “Try Outs” concept because sports are traditionally associated with masculinity, and I wanted to bring TOMGIRL’s feminine energy into that space without taking away from either side.

Everything from the styling and poses to the overall attitude was meant to feel confident, playful, competitive, and expressive. I wanted each Tomgirl to feel like their own character while still looking like part of one team.

More than anything, “Try Outs” was my way of establishing the foundation of TOMGIRL. It wasn’t just our first shoot — it was the first look at the world I’m building. 🏆
