I got to spend the day with a dog in one of the most rural areas of Georgia. I got to spend my day with Tank, who has waited a year in this very kennel for someone to choose him. So we put him in the silly hat, took the funny videos, got the cute pictures But that’s not the reality. And for a moment I was lost in what could be his life, but not before reality could bring me back to what he really lives What broke me is seeing the hope drain from his face He’s like a different dog when he has to go back to being alone And it’s hard to be seen in a sea of other dogs, who might have cooler colors, softer fur, floppier ears, or longer hair. However, what’s easy to see, is his heart when you meet him. He’s lovable, he’s mannered, he’s grateful and he’s ready. He’s ready to start his new life, one that he gets to hear the words “love”, and “good boy” every day. A life where he’s no longer sleeping alone, surrounded by the reminder that nobody is coming for him. Please help us share Tank and get him seen for the very first time.
