Victoire sur le @vercorsman L samedi dernier.
Un premier triathlon en montagne ça se respecte. J’ai été prudent du début à la fin sauf sur les glucides ^^
Une course solide dans les trois sports qui va me servir d’exemple pour évoluer sur des parcours similaires pour la suite.

Merci au @vercorsman, @lachainedutriathlon et aux bénévoles pour ce week-end de folie dans un décor de rêve.

October is a month I’ll look back on with a smile on my face and tears in my eyes. This month has brought joy and pain, some physical for me (Maggie in the marsh and oyster cuts as a result, massive burns from stupid curling irons and leash tangles causing wrist tears) and some emotional (standing over my mom watching her body try to fight a 105.6 fever is something that will haunt me until the day that I die).

But, we lived to see November. We literally thrived and then just survived this month. And the longer I’m on this earth the more that I find I’m a student of that rhythm. We all are.

If I’ve learned nothing else, and if I could pass on only one lesson from these 46 years on the planet, let it be this.

No matter how good you’ve got it or how bad your life feels right now, nothing lasts forever. It never gets easier and stays easier. Happiness is truly found in navigating both periods of your life with grace, as much grace as you can muster, for yourself and those around you. That’s something I’m still working on. And, to be completely honest, I’m crap at it but I’m trying.

10 YEARS AGO, 73% OF ODISHA HOUSEHOLDS REPORTED TAKING ONE-DAY TRIPS. TODAY, THAT NUMBER HAS DROPPED TO JUST 55%!

SO, ODISHA, WHAT'S STOPPING YOU FROM TRAVELLING MORE?

A quick family outing, a visit to a nearby town or a trip to the temple – same-day trips seem to be becoming less common in Odisha.

According to the National Statistics Office, the share of households making at least one same-day trip in a 30-day period fell from 73.2% in 2014–15 to 54.9% in 2025–26.

Interestingly, the national trend has moved in the opposite direction, with more Indian households making such trips.

So, what's changed? Are busy schedules, changing lifestyles or easier access to everyday services keeping Odisha families closer to home?
