Drama As Police Arrest Suspected Thief Who Climbed a Two-Storey Building and Thre@tened to Jump as Residents Pleaded With Him to Come Down in Lagos Drama reportedly unfolded in Lagos after a man suspected of theft climbed a two-storey building and threa@ened to jump as police officers arrived. In a video circulating online, a resident shouted, “This guy wants to jump from the roof. See, he is a th+ef. He’s a th+ef.” “Hey! Hey! Hey! Don’t jump o! This guy wan tie himself for this place o. Una come o, share this thing, I beg,” the resident said, insisting, “This is not content, please. Share this video. Share this video, please. Everybody is acting.” Another resident explained that their mother and younger sister raised the alarm after noticing the man climbing onto the building. “The guy climbed from our tank, that might be someone’s house right now. You understand? Please share this video,” the resident said. The person also expressed concern over alleged rising cases of r%bbery and theft in Lagos during the election period. “See policemen here, they active,” the resident said, adding, “Police is here yet. He doesn’t want to come down.” “Please come o, come o, Nigerians, please o. I beg you, please,” the resident pleaded. A female resident defended sharing the footage, saying, “Do you know that you might be sleeping and the next thing you see, somebody has jumped into your flat, just like that?” “Personally, I’ve never seen this kind of a thing before, even in movies,” she added, explaining that the video was shared for awareness. The suspected thief was later apprehended by the police.
