@thekatiethurston talking about hormone health and cancer really resonates with me. I had to ask multiple times to receive a medication that could prevent me from being in permanent menopause at 31 years old. I know the priority is beating cancer, but I wish there was more focus on what comes after. I wish more consideration was given to protecting our bodies and our quality of life so that when we do make it through treatment, we aren’t left dealing with things that potentially could have been prevented. #cancer #breastcancerawareness #advocate #hormones

Some fertility doctors are against lupron because some women actually never regain ovarian function after they go on it. It’s a risk-benefit situation. Highly recommend @endogirlsblog for more information. She dives into the shortcomings of the studies its FDA approval is based on!

Felt this. Diagnosed at 30 years old. I’ve been getting Lupron for a year now. I didn’t have to ask but they didn’t really explain the “why” around it either. I finished chemotherapy in January and am still getting this injection every four weeks.

This is so important! It makes me so upset when women aren’t being informed and offered this option. I received Lupron throughout chemo and my cycle returned 3 months later while on tamoxifen. I was so happy! Wishing the same for you ❤️❤️
