When I say that I could NOT put this book down!!! I’m even exposing myself by including a terrible photo of me my family took when we went on our annual cottage trip of me being anti-social (I stood there for legit 2 hours). Everyone was frolicking in the water, laughing, snacking, BUT NOT ME!!!! I WAS SO LOCKED IN THAT I HAD TO STAND (this was the part of the book where the MMC was pissing me tf off)

📌 Synopsis
I honestly recommend going in blind. I bought this book without knowing anything (I was deeply influenced by bookstagram) and as I was leaving the bookstore, a woman stopped me and said “that book is SO good”. And she 👏 was 👏 right 👏!!! It’s basically a story spanning many years of 2 people who love each other but life is complicated. Now go read it!!

💭 My thoughts:
The story took me a bit to get into, because there’s a media/acting element that took me a moment to roll with, and also the main media that the characters love is this extremely niche space show, which also took me a beat, but once I embraced it, I was IN IT.

There were times I was genuinely upset by the turn of events or a character’s actions, but that’s life? People are flawed, and learn lessons along the way, and hurt others, and apologize and make up for it.

This story was beautiful, heartbreaking, frustrating, hot, healing, special. It shocks me how much I love this book.

I can confidently say this was my favourite read of the summer!
