1995. Dad and I drove from Indy to NYC for the first time and stayed at the Ameritania on 54th St.. One day, as we walked past The Broadway Theatre, Dad told me to pretend I was walking in the stage door. After a bit of protesting, I did it. 7 years after that, I found myself actually walking through that stage door to do my 2nd Broadway show, Baz Luhrmann’s La Boheme. Now, almost 30 years later, I will be walking in the stage door of the @walterkerrbroadway for my 11th Broadway show, @hadestown . So many people have believed in me, helped me, and shown up in so many ways. I am so incredibly grateful and humbled. What an incredible mystery this life is. Wish he was here to take another pic but @jeannejewelldavis you’re gonna have to do it when you come!
