Zen Awakening Festival

As an author, emcee, promoter, booking agent, and tour manager, sympL has worn many hats and his resume includes some of the best in hip hop and EDM. First and foremost, however, he is an artist raised, groomed, and tested by the d.i.y. ethos. As founding member and manager of the group, Projekt Lotus, he was able to establish a solid and loyal fanbase around the U.S. He worked up the touring ranks both solo and with his group to share the stage and support highly publicized tours with Wu-Tang Clan's Cappadonna, Del the Funky Homosapien and Hieroglyphics, Chali2na and Akil the MC of Jurassic 5, Cypress Hill, Das EFX, the Artifacts, and more. For several years, he teamed up with Lifted Presents to curate and promote up & coming bass music artists such as Downlink, Zebbler Encanti Experience, Clozee, Esseks, Freddy Todd, Kirby Bright, Mc Wavy, DJ Dara, and others. sympL's touring schedule had always been hectic - juggling between hosting EDM events as an MC while also performing & promoting hip hop events across the country. In the same year, sympL toured with EDM producer, Mindelixir, as well as hip hop acts Moka Only & Illa J, Hieroglyphic's Casual for his 20th Anniversary tour, and was added to a few dates on the famed Van's Warped Tour. It was during this time, he leaned into the role of touring and production management and his brand, “Dropp Science” was truly born. Over the next several years, sympL meticulously planned and executed a launch in the summer of 2018 that included a monthly live showcase in NYC and staging at several music festivals - Revolutionary Healing, Queenshella & Moonshine in ATL, and running the main-stage at NC Hip Hop Festival in Durham, NC. In 2023, he was production manager for 3rd Annual Asheville Hemp Festival held in downtown Asheville, NC - at which time, he became certified by the state as a crowd manager. sympL has also been the official tour manager for Full Blast Booking for several years and often mentors up-and-coming artists on the tour. For the last 2 years, sympL & Dropp Science have hosted a stage at TourForLife - featuring hip hop legends, KRS-One, Onyx, Kool G Rap, Brother Ali, Ghostface Killah, and more.
