I think I failed to mention that I started the week with an exciting book signing hosted by @acappellabooks at @thegardenclubwildheaven . First, I should say thank you to @dotlove for telling me about this event and for taking the 2nd photo. Second, I was so excited to run into @m.kemper.westbrook and Charles (it’s so weird when you see someone every day for many years and then life changes and you hardly see them… but then fate brings you together in a totally different neighborhood from where you both live!!).
I got to meet Emily St. John Mandel and hear her talk about her new book Exit Party AND her writing process! It was so great!!! I’ve read three of her books and am quite obsessed. I can’t wait to read this new book (definitely bumping it up to the top of my TBR). Now go read Station Eleven, The Glass Hotel and Sea of Tranquility. Fingers crossed I get to meet @tayari on Saturday at @decaturbookfestival and then this will be a most epic week! 🤞🏼 (let’s be honest, it’s already very epic!! Just hoping it will be double epic!)

Yessssssssssss she’s sooooo good, if there was a subscription to her books I’d sign up and get every single one, sight unseen, no question. So excited you got to meet her!
