I found @tinashenow music in the thick of summer 2014 a week before my study abroad program in Barcelona. Downloading three of her mixtapes onto my iPod classic before my flight was the best decision I could’ve made. I’ve championed for her success since and had the privilege of seeing her live happenstance at Nashville Pride at the height of her Nasty hit.

Popstar has landed with such vigor and great taste that fuels all aspects of what makes me inspired to engage with the world-building of the album, to contrast, exxaggerate, expand and explore in my own way.

I replayed those mixtapes for about the past two months gearing up for this new body of work from her, and I hear how connected she is to those times. It’s a form of time travel to me. So happy and proud to be in a world with Tinashe! #popstar #HollywoodDreamsSignedVinylOwner
