Assassin’s Apprentice- 4/5⭐️ I had the immense privilege of meeting @therealrobinhobb a few months ago and knew I needed to get to the Farseer Trilogy asap. Well, my TBR kept me from that, but I’ve now finished Assassin’s Apprentice and begin to understand the esteem. She writes quite beautifully, but much like her speech in person it’s well calculated and articulated. Always with an intention. Always with purpose. Even meandering doesn’t happen without a reason. This was a 5/5⭐️ all the way until the end where I felt a bit rushed out of the story and the world. I know these books get longer and there are a lot of them, but the ending felt like a publisher told Robin Hobb to cut it down a bit for a debut.
