that's the line @syrenspreads founder keeps coming back to. it started in Mexico City, where an expat consulting job took her, and where her sense of what food from nature could actually do for the body began to shift.

it kept going in a restaurant kitchen, where she became a pastry chef at 50 with no formal training, just a willingness to be bad at something new. somewhere in there, she stopped believing self care had to hurt to count.

Syren Spreads is the answer that came with the question: if chocolate can be this indulgent, why can't it do something for your skin too? three years and a lot of formulation work later (alongside her co-founder, a confectionery scientist), the answer is 2,400mg of skin botanicals, tremella, gotu kola, astragalus, and bamboo silica, folded into a chocolate hazelnut spread you'll actually finish the jar of.
