I have been posting overlooked Brooklyn, NY pioneer mobile DJ history. If you never knew about Brooklyn's DJ contribution to the evolution of Hip-Hop. This is the page to learn. And "NO". It didn't start in 1973. That word lexicon did not exist. It was black urban party music: funk and R&B.

Brooklyn's soundscape, a rich tapestry woven in the history of Hip-Hop's roots.

Hayley Williams at White River Amphitheatre
Seattle, WA // September 30th, 2026

Gube živce, ogromna nervoza, juče ispred arene 5.000 do 6.000 ljudi.

This picture is from 2014, after having two babies back-to-back.

Every time I’ve gotten pregnant, I’ve gained around 80 pounds, and postpartum has always taken a huge toll on me: physically, mentally and emotionally.

But when I look at this picture, I see so much more than weight.

I see a woman who was trying to find herself again while navigating motherhood, and who would later have to find the courage to walk away from an abusive relationship and go through a traumatic divorce. There were seasons when I genuinely didn’t recognize my body, my life, or even the woman staring back at me in the mirror.

And yet, somehow, I kept rebuilding her.

When I say I always manage to come back to the best version of myself, I’m not talking about becoming skinny again. I’m talking about becoming strong again. Finding my confidence. Taking care of my body and my mind. Learning to dream again. Laughing again. Feeling beautiful again. Creating a life where I could finally breathe.

And none of it happened overnight.

It happened through tiny choices. One walk. One workout. One healthier decision. One boundary. One difficult goodbye. One morning when I got out of bed even though I didn’t feel like it. One day at a time.

So if you’re a mother looking in the mirror right now and wondering where the woman you used to be went, please don’t give up on her.

Give yourself grace. There is no deadline to lose the baby weight. There is no timeline for healing. And your comeback doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s.

I’ve had to rebuild myself physically and emotionally more than once.

And every time I thought I had lost myself, I eventually discovered that I wasn’t gone…I was becoming someone new.

Your best version doesn’t have to be the woman you were before motherhood, heartbreak, trauma, or everything life put you through.

Maybe your best version is the woman who survived it all and still decided to choose herself.
