Backspin Chronicles: Founding Fathers

Before hip-hop’s culture took shape, mobile DJs were bringing the neighborhood together—one record, one park, and one heavy speaker at a time. “Bluetooth” was two brothers carrying a cabinet yelling, “Lift your side!” 😂 Salute to the pioneers who helped lay the foundation and whose names deserve to be heard. *Now streaming on Tubi*

I have been posting overlooked Brooklyn, NY pioneer mobile DJ history. If you never knew about Brooklyn's DJ contribution to the evolution of Hip-Hop. This is the page to learn. And "NO". It didn't start in 1973. That word lexicon did not exist. It was black urban party music: funk and R&B.

There's has been NO other magazine or article that has come close to telling the history of Brooklyn pioneer mobile DJs than the first issue of DUSTIES magazine.

I just want to show my support for Lee. He is working out some personal issues. I just want to say, 'Thank you for writing this. Nobody else has stepped up to the plate to write about the historical Brooklyn, NY mobile DJ scene.
