“I just don’t want to lift weights.” K.

You don’t have to love lifting weights.

But at some point, you have to decide whether you want to build the physical capacity to take care of yourself later in life.

Strength training isn’t just about bigger muscles or looking better.

It’s about maintaining strength, muscle, bone health, balance, and the ability to do shit on your own as you get older. Weight-bearing exercise, including strength training, is specifically recommended for helping maintain bone strength.

For majority of people, the goal isn’t to spend your 70s trying to become a powerlifter.

It’s being able to stuff like, getting off the floor without help, carrying your groceries, climbing up stairs with ease, picking up stuff that fell on the ground, getting out of a chair, etc.

You don’t need to love lifting.

You just need to understand what you’re training for.

If you’re ready to get stronger but don’t know where to start, DM me “LIFT”

I’ll help you figure out where to start 🙏

👏👏👏This is what brought me to functional fitness including strength training in my 50s. Now I love it and it’s how I have found myself doing my first and second Hyrox races at 61! If you haven’t tried it give it chance and see where it takes you
