I just have to celebrate with this video and song! For everything we just had to do to get where we are today, it won’t be easy to give up the fight. But, we won finally in California! So extremely grateful for @cagovernor for signing the bill #AB1267. He’s absolutely amazing and pulled through for us. We were getting nervous though.

Thanks to @unchainedatlast who led the fight to push for change. Now, we have #18Down32ToGo. Thanks to all the survivors and advocates.

As for this song, it can be a reminder that child marriage is still happening in this country in all those other 32 states! Unacceptable. Let’s change that too. 🙏🏽

Today, survivors can go to bed thankful that our prayers were heard and what happened to us will at least not happen to other young girls in California, but our fight has to go on for all the children in the other states where this still remains a problem.
