Did you know America was named after an Italian? 🇮🇹 Amerigo Vespucci was a Florentine explorer whose voyages helped Europeans recognize that the lands across the Atlantic were part of a New World, separate from Asia. In 1507, German cartographer Martin Waldseemüller honored Vespucci by using the name “America” on his world map. Before we ever met, we were praying for the same thing. We only worked it out months later.
