Still processing last night ๐Ÿคฏ Honored and beyond grateful to be a part of this ridiculously talented team. Taking home an Emmy with this crew for Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup is completely surreal. ๐Ÿ†โœจ

A Neanderthal who died 75,000 years ago may have been struck through the chest by a sharpened wooden spear. And itโ€™s possibly the earliest evidence of lethal violence involving such a weapon. The archaeologists discovered a 15mm hole in a shoulder blade found in a cave in Iraqi Kurdistan. They believe the spear entered the person's chest, passed through the body - probably damaging a lung and major blood vessels - and exited through the left shoulder blade. Head to @BBCNewsโ€™s bio to find out why this suggests Neanderthals were more violent to each other than previously thought. I met Ene during one of the most difficult times in my life. I trusted him, let him in, and he took advantage of my vulnerability. He introduced me to f*ntanyl, c*caine, and m*th. Once I was addicted and dependent on him to get the dr*gs, the physical abuse began. For years, I endured constant abuse, but in October 2024, things escalated for the last time. Ene became increasingly paranoid, accusing me of cheating, dr*gging him, and things I hadnโ€™t done. No matter how much I tried to explain myself, things only got worse. One night, he beat and strangled me so severely that, for the first time, I genuinely feared for my life. The next day, he forced me to photograph my injuries and send them to my family asking for money he intended to spend on dr*gs. Over the following days, his paranoia worsened. He was losing touch with reality, accusing me of things that never happened. I knew something was seriously wrong, but I felt trapped, terrified, and unsure where to turn. I hoped sleep would help. We laid down together and fell asleep. On October 18, 2024, I woke up to him attacking me. I tried to escape, but there was nowhere to go. He threw me around, slammed, kicked, and punched me. I remember falling to my knees, begging him not to kill me. I promised Iโ€™d do anything if heโ€™d just stop. Somehow, he did. He let me crawl back into bed, unaware I was internally bleeding to death. For six hours, I drifted in and out of consciousness. Then came the knock that saved my life. Someone was banging on our motel door. Ene was banned from the property, and there was a mandatory protection order against him. Afraid of going to jail, he forced me to answer it.Without that knock, I would have died in that bed next to the man who tried to kill me. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, but for me, itโ€™s also the anniversary of the most terrifying day of my life. Ene spent years convincing me that I needed him, that I couldnโ€™t survive without him. Two years later, Iโ€™m living proof of just how wrong he was.Iโ€™m not just alive. Iโ€™m healing, growing, rebuilding, and thriving. ๐Ÿ’œ #domesticviolenceawareness #dvsurvivor #wedorecover
