I also want to acknowledge the incredible leadership our imports brought to this team—their experience, toughness, accountability, and willingness to lead made a lasting impact on everyone around them.
This season was about more than football. It was about leadership, growth, second chances, and learning that one mistake does not define a young man. Watching players learn, mature, and get back up after falling was one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.
I also have to thank our incredible coaching staff. The long hours, preparation, conversations, practices, and sacrifices often go unnoticed, but every coach played an important role in building this team and helping these young men grow.
Personally, this season meant more to me than many of you will probably ever understand. This has been one of the most difficult years of my life, and through everything I was dealing with, this team gave me something to look forward to. You gave me purpose, laughter, competition, and a place where I could be surrounded by people who mattered to me.
I hope I have made an impact on some of you, because I know without question that every one of you has made an impact on me. I hope you know how much you all mean to me and how grateful I am for the friendships that came from this team. I know that I have made friends for life here.
Nine games in ten weeks, injuries, setbacks, long practices, and the constant grind tested all of us. From those cold days of winter to the end of this journey, we continued to show up, compete, and fight for one another.
Years from now, we may not remember every score or every play, but I hope we remember the lessons, the second chances, the battles, and the people who stood beside us.
Football brought us together, but what we built goes far beyond the game.

Thought I would add a bit more to the imports : Connor 🇬🇧, “See you in November.” You brought toughness, experience, accountability, and set a standard for everyone around you. Connor 🇨🇦, that ride home from Fulda and hearing about your childhood is something I’ll never forget. Moments like that remind me that these relationships go far beyond football. Malik 🇺🇸, I’m glad Washington didn’t make you soft 😂. Playing with one leg all season, you brought toughness and competitiveness when we needed it most. Q 🇺🇸, you’re a legend. Someone get this man a hamstring! You gave everything you had, and your toughness and personality won’t be forgotten. Mr. Leech 🇺🇸, Mr. “The Catch”—see you soon 😉. A playmaker on both sides of the ball and someone who always gave everything.
