This Friday and Saturday, @ruskin.england will take up residency at Custom Lane, presenting its collection alongside the materials, references and craftsmanship behind the designs.
Founded by designer Alli Abdelal, RUSKIN has its roots in the Lake District and its studio in Oxford. Each design is developed in Oxford and crafted in Rome by two brothers and a small team of artisans, bringing together British-milled tweeds, richly textured suedes and fine Italian leathers.
The collection comprises everyday bags alongside more distinctive pieces for travel and occasion. Materials are selected for their texture, weight and depth of colour, with each bringing its own character to the design.
The residency will also offer a visual introduction to the world of RUSKIN: the landscapes and textiles that inform Alli’s design work.
