If I see a hitter who is tall with long arms, the first thing I look at is their setup in the box and where their body is at when they get into their launch position. We need space and room to work to get our swing off. Just because you had success two years ago with your toes on the white line doesn’t mean it works now that you’ve grown a foot. If you’re a hitter who swings a 34” bat, look at where you are setting up in the box. If you’re standing too close to the plate, you’re going to get attacked inside ALL DAY. Why? Because the pitcher wants to take away your space and make you fight against your own length. How a hitter sets up in the box is extremely important to their swing.
