It is September that inspires and motivates Jane to make changes. But it is also September that makes her think about the friends from whom she has been torn away. In the same way, I sometimes find myself filled with sadness for my dear friends who are far, far away from me. I, too, have absorbed something from them. Yes, modern means of communication allow us to stay in touch, but nothing can replace face-to-face interaction.
