Meet Farshad Afsharimehr
Farshad @farshad.et.patate is a Belgian-Iranian artist and graphic designer based in Luxembourg. Born in Tehran, his passion for art developed early and has stayed with him ever since. He moved to Belgium, where he pursued his craft at the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts de Liège, graduating in 1992.

For Still Here, we’re exhibiting his acrylic works exploring memory, solitude, and identity where figures, landscapes, birds, and potatoes become symbols of something deeper. The recurring potato speaks to nourishment and life at its most basic, while birds evoke freedom and the desire to escape.

📍 Opens 8 October at Rotondes @rotondes
