This is the skirt I wore on September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years later, I’m sharing something I’ve rarely spoken about. I didn’t expect to get emotional, but talking about that day brought a lot back.

One thing I’ve never forgotten is how united people in New York were. As we were coming up the bridge, people were giving us water. People were showing up for each other, helping however they could.

That kindness has stayed with me all these years.

Remembering the lives lost, everyone who lived through it, and everyone still carrying that day with them. 🤍

I tried watching a documentary by National Geographic this morning. I was sobbing, couldn’t get through it, had to stop. My whole heart is with you. I’m so sorry you had to go through all of that. ❤️
