Jarne

A Lufthansa heavy floating into @frankfurtairport in the first sunrays of the day.

There are few aircraft that look as majestic as the Boeing 747, and catching this Lufthansa 747-400 in this beautiful morning light made this arrival even more special.

With the warm sunlight hitting the fuselage and those four engines roaring towards the sun, the Queen looks absolutely stunning on final approach. The 747-400 has always been one of my favourite aircraft, and with their time in passenger service becoming increasingly limited, every opportunity to photograph one feels a little more special.

Definitely one of those moments where everything came together perfectly – the aircraft, the light and the timing. A sight I’ll never get tired of!
