Saturday Snapshots 📸

This week was pretty ordinary. errands, chores, and all the everyday things that don’t necessarily make for interesting photos. So instead, I thought I’d share something that made me laugh.

My 11-year-old granddaughter recently saw a picture of one of those old desktop computers with the huge monitors, back when we had dial-up internet.

She looked at her mom and said, “That computer is so big. How did you carry it around?”

My daughter explained, “We didn’t, it stayed in one spot.”

Her response?

“You mean everyone had to use the SAME computer?” 🫨

And I’m sitting here thinking…wait until my granddaughter finds out that when I was growing up, we had one phone for the entire family, and it was attached to the wall. 🫢

NBC’s upcoming sitcom ‘Newlyweds,’ starring Tèa Leoni and Tim Daly and featuring Jamie Lee Curtis, is undergoing a behind-the-scenes shakeup. Gail Lerner, who co-created the series with Curtis, is out as showrunner.

“The reason I’ve been given is ‘creative differences’,” Lerner wrote. “I’m so sad to be separated from the most joyous TV experience of my life. The cast, crew, and writers are unparalleled.”

Rougaroux came to play a show in Prince Edward Island, Canada. After a bartender denied trans musician Marina Hanly access to the women’s restroom, the band packed up.

The Sportsman’s Club manager confirmed the policy to CBC. Hanly and her fiancé, bandmate George Finley, said the experience left them shaken. Local queer organizers offered support, and P.E.E.R.S Alliance hosted a gathering with the band.

Buy Rougaroux’s music and support P.E.E.R.S Alliance. The band asked people not to harass venue staff.
