It’s been a minute , and I needed that time to simply feel ❤️

Losing your mom brings a wave of emotions that can stop you in your tracks. Some days, you feel okay, and other days, the weight of her absence hits you in ways you weren’t expecting. At this stage of life, many of us begin experiencing the loss of our parents. We may know that day will eventually come, but being part of this club doesn’t make it any easier.

One of the hardest things to wrap your head around is how the world keeps moving. The sun rises, people go about their day, and life carries on, even when yours feels like it has stood still. The world doesn’t pause for your grief, and somehow, you have to learn how to keep living in a world that feels a little different without someone who has always been part of it.
For me, faith brings comfort in believing that this isn’t goodbye forever. ❤️🙏🏻 That there is a reunion beyond this life, and that love doesn’t end when someone takes their last breath. Sometimes, that hope is what gives us the strength to take the next step, even when our hearts are still catching up.

I feel incredibly blessed to have so many beautiful people around me who have shown up, checked in, shared their own experiences, and made me feel seen and understood in my grief. Sometimes, you don’t need someone to have the perfect words. You just need them to acknowledge your pain and remind you that you don’t have to carry it alone.

I’m learning that healing doesn’t mean forgetting, and moving forward doesn’t mean leaving them behind. We carry them with us in our stories, our traditions, our memories, and the little pieces of them that live on in who we are.

If you’re walking through this season of life, too, please give yourself grace. There is no timeline for grief. Take the time you need. Feel what you feel. And remember that you can miss someone deeply while still finding reasons to live, laugh, love, and keep going.

For those of us who believe, this is not the end of the story. ❤️🙏🏻
