Hey everybody, we thought it was finally time to formally introduce ourselves. We’re Jake and Anna Caroline, the photographers behind Shakedown Visuals 🐞

Jake and I met in high school and spent almost four years together before life took us in different directions. We built separate lives, followed different creative paths, and grew into people we hadn’t yet known each other as. A little over two years ago, somehow, the world brought us back together. We always knew there was something tying us to each other, even when we didn’t know where it would lead. From high school sweethearts to building a company together, it’s a pretty beautiful thing to look around and realize this is where we ended up.


I’m Anna Caroline. My work leans documentary, drawn to the feeling of a moment more than the perfection of it. I love capturing movement, connection, and the things that happen naturally when people forget they’re being photographed. Live music has a special place in my heart, as do proposals, engagements, and maternity sessions — the kind of moments where love is almost tangible.

Jake’s eye is different from mine, and that’s what makes working together so special. He brings a love for film, architecture, portraits, and studio work, along with a mind for technology and the details that keep everything moving. He’s been my saving grace through this first year, and I truly couldn’t do it without him.
