Lately I’ve been experimenting with modeling paste, joint compound and texture powder. I was experimenting on a board I had in the garage to get the hang of moving the paste around and creating texture and designs. After this one dried, I brushed a little darker paint to give some depth. Because my desk in my studio is always cluttered with random shells, I just happen to have five broken clamshell pieces. I have been trying to make a flower with earlier. I laid them out and thought it looked cute. I’m not 100% sure I’m done with the shading, but I’m afraid if I tinker too much I’ll wreck it. I never seem to know when to walk away. 😬
