“I knew Jim was ‘dangerous’ from the beginning... He wanted to free us all. What a gift. This live album captures that wild spirit.” – John Densmore
Feel the friction and heat of peak-era Doors. Hand-picked by Robby Krieger, John Densmore, and Bruce Botnick, UNBOUND AND DANGEROUS brings together 16 fierce, newly remixed tracks from the iconic 1970 Roadhouse Blues Tour, with the collection primarily featuring performances from 1970. “Soul Kitchen” is the lone exception, coming from the second show July 21, 1969, at the Aquarius Theatre in Hollywood. From blistering cuts of “Break On Through” to a dark, 15-minute apocalyptic rendition of “The End,” this is the band at their most electrifying.
Available October 23rd as a 2-Lp set pressed on translucent red vinyl CD, Blu-ray (featuring immersive Dolby Atmos & 192/24 Hi-Res Stereo mixes), and Digital.
