Happy birthday, Fernando. We miss you. 💙

When I first saw my photo on the cover of @people magazine cover I cried and then…

I decided to play the ultimate prank on my family and childhood best friend.

Here’s the backstory:

One hour before @people magazine showed up to my house in Vermont I was a mess. I was crying in my bedroom because I hated everything in my closet and didn’t know what to wear for the shoot.

I had tried on more than 20 outfits. I felt ugly and overwhelmed.

And eventually, I just burst into tears. At that exact moment, my daughter snapped a horrible photo of me and then walked out of the room.

Turns out I had nothing to be scared of. Everybody from @people was amazing and put me at ease.

So when the cover came out (it’s on stands right now!) I remembered that hideous photo and had an idea…

What if we took that hideous photo and made a fake People Magazine cover. And then, I FaceTimed my family and told them it was the real one…😂

My childhood best friend @jodi.b.az picked up at the salon - thought it was awful.
My husband @the.chrisrobbins - didn’t quite know what to say.
My son @oakley_robbins - (always the optimist) spun the positive.

I haven’t had that much fun in a while!

With big moments in life it is so important to celebrate and laugh.

And I want to give an extra BIG SHOUTOUT to @jodi.b.az for letting me post this with foils in her hair.

I also want to thank the entire @people magazine team for such an incredible experience and especially:

@allisonmichaelorenstein for the incredible cover and photography !
@_alexxross_ for the amazing conversation and interview !
@xaviervelasquez for the beautiful hair !
@daniwagenerbeauty for the flawless makeup !
My daughter Kendall for the outfits !

😂♥️ Now I need to know, whose reaction made you laugh the hardest?!

Shubh Deepawali | Episode 8: The Suit Edit✨

Eight episodes down, and the festive suit rack is still full of surprises. This one takes the Real Body Test like every other piece in the series.

Does it keep its fit through the aarti, the family photos, and the last plate of snacks? Watch till the end for my honest verdict.

Save this for your Diwali outfit planning, and tell me if you want to see an anarkali or a lehenga next. 👇

If you have histamine intolerance or MCAS, are peptides off the table?...

Recently on an Ask Me Anything episode of The Art of Being Well, Brittany asked whether it’s safe to try peptides like BPC-157 if you have MCAS or histamine intolerance. It’s a fair question, because people with mast cell activation syndrome can react poorly to even basic supplements.

Histamine intolerance is often described as a “pseudoallergy.” It isn’t a true IgE allergy. Mast cells release histamine through receptors like MRGPRX2, and they don’t know how to calm back down.

How reactive someone is depends on what’s underneath. Mold, chronic Lyme, SIBO, gut dysfunction, trauma. That’s why there’s no one-size-fits-all answer.

Here’s what I see clinically: It’s rarely the peptide itself causing a flare. More often it’s the fillers, the purity, the sourcing, or the dose. So start low and slow, and work with a practitioner.

The stack we use in this situation includes BPC-157, KPV, TB-500, Thymosin Alpha-1, and VIP for SIRS-type presentations.

And the stat that surprised even me…

A 2025 case series in the American Journal of Medical Sciences looked at 47 people with MCAS who were put on a GLP-1, and 89% saw a remission of their MCAS symptoms. It’s one small case series, so it isn’t a recommendation, but it’s interesting. You’re essentially modulating the gut, and the gut is where about 75% of the immune system lives.

Mast cell support like quercetin, luteolin, stinging nettle, DAO, and vitamin C can pair with this, and the nervous system absolutely matters as well.

Comment 518 and I’ll send you the full episode link! ❤️❤️❤️

Save this and send it to someone with MCAS who’s been told to avoid everything.

This is educational and not medical advice. Talk to your practitioner before changing your protocol.
