Sometimes you have to stop and realize… you’re living in something you once prayed for.
My journey with food started long before I ever called myself a chef. It started at home, watching my mom and my grandmother cook breakfast and seeing how something as simple as a meal could bring people together. I started cooking myself, and there was something about watching people genuinely enjoy my food that made me want to keep going.
By high school, I was selling breakfast sandwiches, sweet treats, and whatever else I could create. At the time, I didn’t realize those little moments were planting the seeds for what would eventually become Saiya’s Signature Cuisine.
And now, I look at my life and realize how far God has brought me. From simply loving to cook and wanting people to enjoy my food, to becoming a chef, building my own business, opening my LLC, and creating something that has my name and my heart attached to it.
This journey has challenged me. There have been closed doors, unexpected turns, lessons, sacrifices, and moments where I didn’t understand what God was doing. But looking back, I can see that He was still directing my steps.
So while I’m incredibly excited about where I’m going, I don’t want to become so focused on the next blessing that I forget to be grateful for the one I’m standing in right now.
I prayed for growth. I prayed for opportunity. I prayed for direction. And God has continued to deliver, provide, and prosper me in ways I’m still learning to appreciate.
To everyone who has eaten my food, booked me, recommended me, supported my business, encouraged me, or believed in me along the way, thank you. You’ve played a part in this story too.
I’m blessed. I’m thankful. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I’m excited for everything God still has ahead of me.🤍
